શ્લો|| સ નિકામં વિમાનેષુ વિષણ્ણઃ કામરૂપધૃત્|
વિચચાર પુનર્લઙ્કાં લાઘવેન સમન્વિતઃ||1||

સ|| ( સીતાં અદૃષ્ટ્વા) વિષણ્ણઃ સઃ કામરૂપધૃત્ હનુમાન્ પુનઃ સમન્વિતઃ વિમાનેષુ લાઘવેન નિકામં લઙ્કાં વિચચાર ||

Hanuman endowed with strength who can take any form, sad because he was unable to see Sita, again started moving speedily among the tall mansions of Lanka,

શ્લો|| અસસાદાથ લક્ષ્મીવાન્ રાક્ષસેન્દ્ર નિવેશનમ્|
પ્રાકારેણાર્કવર્ણેન ભાસ્વરેણાભિસંવૃતમ્||2||

સ|| અથ લક્ષ્મીવાન્ ( અતિવીર્યસંપન્નઃ) ભાસ્વરેણ અર્કવર્ણેન પ્રાકારેણ સંવૃતં રાક્ષસેન્દ્ર નિવેશનમ્ અસસાદ ||

Then that Vanara reached the residence of the king of the Rakshasas which is enclosed by a boundary wall which is red in color and dazzling like the mid-day Sun.

શ્લો|| રક્ષિતં રાક્ષસૈર્ઘોરૈઃ સિંહૈરિવમહદ્વનમ્|
સમીક્ષમાણો ભવનં ચકાશે કપિકુઞ્જરઃ||3||

સ||સિંહૈઃ રક્ષિતં મહાવનમિવ ભીમૈઃ રાક્ષસૈઃ રક્ષિતમ્ ભવનમ્ સમીક્ષમાણો કપિકુઞ્જરઃ ચકાશે||

The best among Vanaras looked surprised while searching that palace which was protected by fierce Rakshasas like a forest is protected by lions.

વિચિત્રાભિશ્ચ કક્ષાભિઃ દ્વારૈશ્ચરુચિરૈર્વૃતમ્ ||4||

સ|| વિચિત્રાભિઃ કક્ષ્યાભિઃ રુચિરૈઃ દ્વારૈશ્ચ રૂપ્યકોપહિતૈઃ ચિત્રૈઃ હેમભૂષિતૈઃ તોરણૈઃ વૃતં ( ભવનં દદર્શ)||

(Hanuman saw) Colorful apartments with beautiful entrances , (They were) surrounded by arches inlaid with silver, decorated with gold

શ્લો|| ગજાસ્થિતૈર્મહામાત્રૈઃ શૂરૈશ્ચવિગતશ્રમૈઃ|
ઉપસ્થિતં અસંહાર્યૈઃ હરયૈ સ્યંદનયાયિભિઃ||5||

સ|| (હનુમાન્) ગજસ્થિતૈઃ વીરૈશ્ચ મહામાત્રૈઃ વિગતશ્રમૈઃ અસંહાર્યૈઃ હયૈઃ સ્યંદનયાયિભિઃ ઉપસ્થિતં ( દદર્શ)||

તા|| ગજમુલમીદ કૂર્ચુનિ ઉન્ન શ્રમ એરગનિ વીરુલનુ ગજપાલકુલનુ, અજેયમુલૈન ગુર્રમુલુપૂન્ચિન રથમુ પૈ સંચરિસ્તુન્ન વીરુલનુ ચૂચેનુ.

શ્લો|| સિંહવ્યાઘ્રતનુત્રાણૈઃ દાંતકાઞ્ચનરાજતૈઃ|
ઘોષવદ્ભિઃ વિચિત્રૈશ્ચ સદા વિચરિતં રથૈઃ||6||

સ|| સિંહ વ્યાઘ્ર તનુત્રાણૈઃ દાન્તકાઞ્ચન રાજતૈઃ વિચિત્રૈઃ ઘોષવદ્ભિઃ રથૈઃ સદા વિચરિતં ( તં ભવનં દદર્શ) ||

Covered with skins of lions and tigers, encrusted with images of ivory gold and silver and making sounds the chariots were always moving about.

શ્લો|| બહુરત્ન સમાકીર્ણં પરાર્ધ્યાસનભાજનમ્|
મહારથસમાવાસમ્ મહારથમહાસ્વનમ્||7||

સ|| પરાર્થ્યાસન ભાજનમ્ બહુરત્ન સમાકીર્ણં મહારથ સમાવાસમ્ મહારથ મહાસ્વનમ્ (ભવનમ્ દદર્શ)||

With excellent seats and vessels with many precious gems, with many places for big chariots, the place was filled with deep sounds of great charioteers.

શ્લો|| દૃશ્યૈશ્ચ પરમોદારૈઃ તૈઃ તૈશ્ચ મૃગપક્ષિભિઃ|
વિવિધૈર્બહુસાહસ્રૈઃ પરિપૂર્ણં સમંતતઃ||8||

સ|| પરમોદારૈઃ દૃશ્યૈઃ વિવિધૈઃ બહુ સાહસ્રૈઃ તૈશ્ચ મૃગપક્ષિભિઃ તૈઃ પરિપૂર્ણં સમન્તતઃ ( ભવનમ્ દદર્શ) ||

(The palace was) Filled with thousands of many kinds of beautiful pleasing beasts and birds of different kinds.

શ્લો|| વિનીતૈરંતપાલૈશ્ચ રક્ષોભિશ્ચ સુરક્ષિતમ્|
મુખ્યાભિશ્ચ વરસ્ત્રીભિઃ પરિપૂર્ણં સમંતતઃ||9||

સ|| વિનીતૈઃ અન્તપાલૈઃ ચ રક્ષોભિઃ સુરક્ષિતં મુખ્યાભિઃ વરસ્ત્રીભિઃ પરિપૂર્ણં સમંતતઃ (ભવનમ્ દદર્શ)||

Protected by disciplined Rakshasa palace guards, the palace was full of important noble women.

શ્લો|| મુદિત પ્રમદારત્નં રાક્ષસેન્દ્ર નિવેશનમ્|
વરાભરણસંહાદ્રૈઃ સમુદ્રસ્સ્વનનિસ્સ્વનમ્||10||

સ|| રાક્ષસેન્દ્ર નિવેશનં મુદિત પ્રમદારત્નં વરાભરણ સંહાદ્રૈઃ સમુદ્રસ્સ્વનન્નિસ્વનમ્ ||

The palace of the Rakshasa king with jingling sounds of ornaments and accessories of joyful women reverberated with sounds like the sounds of the sea.

શ્લો|| તદ્રાજગુણસંપન્નં મુખ્યૈશ્ચાગરુચંદનૈઃ|
મહાજનૈઃ સમાકીર્ણં સિંહૈરિવ મહદ્વનમ્||11||

સ|| તત્ (ભવનં) અગરુચન્દનૈઃ રાજગુણસંપન્નં મુખ્યૈઃ મહાજનૈઃ સમાકીર્ણં ભવનં સિંહૈઃ સમાકીર્ણં મહત્ વનમિવ (અસ્તિ)||

That palace full of eminent Rakshasas and great people endowed with royal traits looked like a great forest infested with lions. It carried various fragrances.

શ્લો|| ભેરીમૃદઙ્ગાભિરુતં શંખઘોષનિનાદિતમ્|
નિત્યાર્ચિતં પર્વહુતં પૂજિતં રાક્ષસૈસ્સદા||12||

સ|| (તત્ ભવનં) ભેરીમૃદઙ્ગાભિરુતં શંખઘોષનિનાદિતં (અસ્તિ) નિત્યાર્ચિતં પર્વહુતં રાક્ષસૈઃ સદા પૂજિતં (અપિ ચ)||

That palace was filled with sounds of trumpets, echoed with sounds of conches and percussion instruments. The Rakshasas always performed daily worships and sacrifices on special days.

શ્લો|| સમુદ્રમિવ ગમ્ભીરં સમુદ્રસ્વનનિસ્સ્વનમ્|
મહાત્મનોમહદ્વેશ્મ મહારત્ન પરિછ્છદમ્|| 13||
મહારત્ન સમાકીર્ણં દદર્શ સ મહાકપિઃ|

સ|| સમુદ્રમિવ ગમ્ભીરં નિસ્સ્વનમ્ સમુદ્રમિવ મહારત્નપરિચ્છદમ્ મહારત્ન સમાકીર્ણં મહાત્મનસ્ય મહત્ વેશ્મ તત્ મહકપિઃ દદર્શ||

With deep sounds resembling the sounds of a sea, Hanuman saw the great residence filled with great men looking like a sea full of precious gems.

શ્લો|| વિરાજમાનં વપુષાગજાશ્વરથસંકુલમ્||14||
લંકાભરણમિત્યેવ સોઽમન્યત મહાકપિઃ|
ચચાર હનુમાંસ્તત્ર રાવણસ્ય સમીપતઃ||15||

સ|| એવં વપુષા વિરાજમાનં ગજાશ્વરથ સંકુલં ( ભવનં) લંકાભરણં ઇતિ સઃ મહાકપિઃ અમન્યત|| તત્ર હનુમતઃ રાવણસ્ય( ભવનં) સમીપતઃ ચચાર||

Hanuman thought that palace, bright in appearance being full of elephants horses and chariots, is the very jewel of Lanka. Then Hanuman moved closer to Ravana's palace,

શ્લો|| ગૃહાદ્ગૃહં રાક્ષસાનાં ઉદ્યાનાનિ ચ વાનરઃ|
વીક્ષમાણો હ્યસંત્રસ્તઃ પ્રાસાદાંશ્ચ ચચાર સઃ||16||

સ||ગૃહાત્ ગૃહં રાક્ષસાનાં ચ ઉદ્યાનાનિ પ્રાશાદાંશ્ચ વીક્ષમાણઃ અસંત્રસ્તઃ હનુમાન્ ચચાર||

Hanuman moved about unobtrusively from house to house observing the gardens and the mansions.

શ્લો|| અવપ્લુત્ય મહાવેગઃ પ્રહસ્તસ્ય નિવેશનમ્|
તતોઽન્યત્ પુપ્લુવે વેશ્મ મહાપાર્શ્વસ્ય વીર્યવાન્||17||

સ|| મહાવીર્યઃ મહાવેગઃ પ્રહસ્તસ્ય નિવેશનમ્ અવપ્લુત્ય મહાપાર્શ્વસ્ય (ભવનં) તતઃ અન્યત્ ( ભવનં) પુપ્લુવે||

Courageous and quick Hanuman sprang from Prahasta's house to Mahaparsva's house and then jumped to other houses.

શ્લો|| અથ મેઘ પ્રતીકાશં કુંભકર્ણનિવેશનમ્|
વિભીષણસ્ય ચ તથાપુપ્લુવે સ મહાકપિઃ||18||

સ|| અથ સઃ મહાકપિઃ મેઘપ્રતીકાશં કુંભકર્ણસ્ય નિવેશનં તદા વિભીષણસ્ય( ભવનં) પુપ્લુવે||

Then the great Vanara moved from Kumbhakarna's house resembling a great cloud to Vibhishana's house.

શ્લો|| મહોદરસ્ય ચ ગૃહં વિરૂપાક્ષસ્ય ચૈવ હિ|
વિદ્યુજ્જિહ્વસ્ય ભવનં વિદ્યુન્માલેસ્તધૈવચ ||19||
વજ્રદંષ્ટ્રસ્ય ચ તથા પુપ્લુવે સ મહાકપિઃ|

સ|| સઃ મહાકપિઃ મહોદરસ્ય ગૃહં ચ વિરૂપાક્ષસ્ય ચ એવ હિ વિદ્યુજ્જિહ્વસ્ય તથૈવ ચ વિદ્યુમાલેઃ તથૈવ વજ્રદંષ્ટ્રસ્ય ભવનં પુપ્લુવે||

તા|| આ વાનરુડુ મહોદરુનિ ગૃહમુ, વિરૂપાક્ષુનિ ગૃહમુ , વિદ્યુજ્જિહ્વુનિ ગૃહમુ , અલાગે વિદ્યુમાલિ ગૃહમુ, વજ્રદંષ્ટ્રુનિ ગૃહમુલોકિ દૂકેનુ.

The great Vanara jumped from Mahodara's mansion to Virupaksha's, and jumped like that from Vidyujjihva's to Vidyumala's and then to Vajradamshtra's mansion.

શ્લો|| શુકસ્ય ચ મહાતેજાઃ સારણસ્ય ચ ધીમતઃ||20||
તથા ચેન્દ્રજિતોવેશ્મ જગામ હરિયૂધપઃ|

સ|| મહાતેજાઃ હરિયૂથપઃ શુકસ્ય ધીમતઃ સારણસ્ય તથા ઇન્દ્રજિતઃ વેશ્મ જગામ||

The powerful Vanara then went by the house of Suka, the intelligent Sarana and similarly Indrajit's mansion too.

શ્લો|| જંબુમાલે સ્સુમાલેશ્ચ જગામ હરિસત્તમઃ||21||
રશ્મિ કેતોશ્ચ ભવનં સૂર્ય શત્રોસ્તથૈવચ |
વજ્રકાયસ્ય ચ તથા પુપ્લુવે સ મહાકપિઃ ||22||

સ|| હરિસત્તમઃ જમ્બુમાલેઃ સુમાલેઃ ચ જગામ|| સઃ મહાકપિઃ રશ્મિકેતોઃ તથૈવ ચ સૂર્યશત્રોઃ ચ તથા વજ્રકાયસ્ય ભવનં પુપ્લુવે||

The best of Vanara's then jumped from Jambumali's to Sumali's house. Similarly, that great Vanara jumped from Rasmiketu's to SuryaSatru's, and then to Vajrakaya's mansion

શ્લો|| ધૂમ્રાક્ષસ્ય ચ સંપાતેઃ ભવનં મારુતાત્મજઃ|
વિદ્યુદ્રૂપસ્ય ભીમસ્ય ઘનસ્ય વિઘનસ્ય ચ||23||
શુકનાસસ્ય વક્રસ્ય શઠસ્ય વિકટસ્ય ચ|
બ્રહ્મકર્ણસ્ય દંષ્ટ્રસ્ય રોમશસ્ય ચ રક્ષસઃ||24||
યુદ્ધોન્મત્તસ્ય મત્તસ્ય ધ્વજગ્રીવસ્ય નાદિનઃ|
વિદ્યુજ્જિહ્વેન્દ્રજિહ્વાનાં તથા હસ્તિમુખસ્ય ચ||25||

સ|| ધૂમ્રાક્ષસ્ય તથા સંપાતેઃ ભવનં તથૈવ વિદ્યુદ્રૂપસ્ય ભીમસ્ય ઘનસ્ય વિઘનસ્ય ચ ( ભવનં પુપ્લુવે) || તથા રક્ષસઃ શુકનાસસ્ય વક્રસ્ય વિકટસ્ય બ્રહ્મકર્ણસ્ય દંષ્ટ્રસ્ય રોમશસ્ય ચ (ભવનં પુપ્લુવે)|| યુદ્ધોન્મત્તસ્ય મત્તસ્ય ધ્વજગ્રીવસ્ય નાદિનઃ (ભવનં ચ) વિદુજ્જિહ્વસ્ય ઇન્દ્રજિહ્વસ્ય તથા હસ્તિમુખસ્ય (ભનં પુપ્લુવે)||

Then the great Vanara jumped over the houses of Dhumraksha, Sampati, Vidyudrupa, Bhima, Ghana, and Vighana. Similarly, he jumped over the houses of the Rakshasas Sukanasa, Vakra, Vikata, Brahmakarna, Damshtra, and Romasa. Then he jumped over the houses of Yuddhonmatta, Matta, Dhvajagriva, Nadina, Vidyujjihva, Indrajihva similarly Hastimukha.

શ્લો|| કરાળસ્ય પિશાચસ્ય શોણિતાક્ષસ્ય ચૈવ હિ|
ક્રમમાણં ક્રમેણૈવ હનુમામ્મારુતાત્મજઃ||26||

સ||કરાળસ્ય પિશાચસ્ય શોણિતાક્ષસ્ય ચ (ભવનં અપિ) ક્રમમાણં ક્રમેનૈવ (પુપ્લુવે)||

Similarly, Hanuman jumped over the houses of Karala, Pisacha, and Sonitaksha in an orderly manner as he advanced.

શ્લો|| તેષુ તેષુ મહાર્હેષુ ભવનેષુ મહાયશાઃ|
તેષાં વૃદ્ધિમતાં વૃદ્ધિં દદર્શ સ મહાકપિઃ||27||

સ|| મહાયશાઃ તેષુ તેષુ ભવનેષુ ઋદ્ધિમતાં તેષાં ઋદ્ધિં સઃ મહાકપિઃ દદર્શ||

The great Vanara saw the wealth of the wealthy in their mansions.

શ્લો|| સર્વેષાં સમતિક્રમ્ય ભવનાનિ સમંતતઃ |
અસસાદાથ લક્ષ્મીવાન્ રાક્ષસેન્દ્રનિવેશનમ્|| 28||

સ|| સઃ લક્ષ્મીવાન્ સર્વેષાં ભવનાનિ સમન્તતઃ રાક્ષસેન્દ્ર નિવેશનં આસસાદ||

That Vanara rich in capabilities then passing all the mansions reached the residence of the King of Rakshasas.

શ્લો|| રાવણસ્યોપશાયિન્યો દદર્શ હરિસત્તમઃ|
વિચરન્ હરિશાર્દૂલો રાક્ષસીર્વિકૃતેક્ષણઃ||29||
શૂલમુદ્ગરહસ્તાશ્ચ શક્તિતોમરધારિણીઃ|

સ||| હરિશાર્દૂલઃ હરિસત્તમઃ વિચરન્ રાવણસ્ય ઉપશાયિન્યઃ વિકૃતેક્ષણાઃ શૂલમુદ્ગરહસ્તાશ્ચ શક્તિતોમર ધારિણઃ રાક્ષસીઃ દદર્શ ||

The best of Vanara wandering about Ravana's palace saw Rakshasa women with hideous eyes carrying tridents and hammers, as well as powerful javelins and iron cudgels as arms

શ્લો|| દદર્શ વિવિધાન્ ગુલ્માન્ તસ્ય રક્ષઃપતેર્ગૃહે||30||
રાક્ષાસાંશ્ચ મહાકાયાન્ નાના પ્રહરણોદ્યતાન્|

સ|| તસ્ય રક્ષઃ પતે ગૃહે વિવિધાન્ ગુલ્માન્ મહાકાયાન્ નાનાપ્રહરોદ્યતાન્ રાક્ષસાંશ્ચ દદર્શ||

At that home of the king of Rakshasas, Hanuman saw different regiments of army troops ready with different kinds of weapons.

શ્લો|| રક્તાન્ શ્વેતાન્ સિતાંશ્છૈવ હરીંશ્ચાપિ મહાજવાન્||31||
કુલીનાન્ રૂપસંપન્નાન્ ગજાન્પરગજારુજાન્|
નિષ્ટિતાન્ ગજશિક્ષયાં ઐરાવતસમાન્યુધિ||32||
નિહંતૄન્પરશૈન્યાનાં ગૃહે તસ્મિન્ દદર્શ સઃ|
ક્ષરતશ્ચ યથામેઘાન્ સ્રવતશ્ચ યથા ગિરીન્||33||
મેઘસ્તનિત નિર્ઘોષાન્ દુર્ધર્ષાન્ સમરે પરૈઃ|

સ|| સઃ તસ્મિન્ ગૃહે રક્તામ્ શ્વેતાન્ સિતાંશ્ચૈવ મહાજવાન્ હરીશ્ચાપિ કુલીનાન્ રૂપસંપન્નાન્ પરગજારુજાન્ ગજાન્ નિષ્ટિતાન્ ઐરાવતસમાન્ યુધિ પરશૈન્યાનાં નિહન્તૄન્ ક્ષરતઃ યથા મેઘાન્ સ્રવતઃ ચ યથા ગિરીન્ સમરે પરૈઃ દુર્ધર્ષાન્ ગજાન્ દદર્શ ||

He saw well bred horses of red, white and cream colors which can travel fast. He saw good looking elephants not inferior to enemy's which are well trained and equal to Iravat in battle, which were unassailable in the battle and which were shedding rut resembling thundering clouds pouring out rain on the mountains.

શ્લો|| સહસ્રં વાહિનીસ્તત્ર જાંબૂનદપરિષ્કૃતાઃ||34||
હેમજાલપરિચ્ચન્નાઃ તરુણાદિત્યસન્નિભાઃ|
દદર્શ રાક્ષસેંદ્રસ્ય રાવણસ્ય નિવેશને||35||

સ|| તત્ર રાવણસ્ય નિવેશને જામ્બૂનદપરિષ્કૃતાઃ હેમજાલપરિછ્ચન્નાઃ તરુણાદિત્યસન્નિભાઃ સહસ્રં વાહિનીં દદર્શ||

In Ravana's house he saw thousands of troops bedecked with gold, fully protected with armor of gold shining like the rising Sun.

શ્લો|| શિબિકા વિવિધાકારાઃ સકપિર્મારુતાત્મજઃ|
લતાગૃહાણિ ચિત્રાણિ ચિત્રશાલાગૃહાણિચ||36||
ક્રીડાગૃહાણિ ચાન્યાનિ દારુપર્વતકાનપિ|
કામસ્ય ગૃહકં રમ્યં દિવાગૃહકમેવચ ||37||
દદર્શ રાક્ષસેન્દ્રસ્ય રાવણસ્ય નિવેશને|

સ|| સઃ કપિઃ મારુતાત્મજઃ રાક્ષસેન્દ્રસ્ય રાવણસ્ય નિવેશને વિવિધાકારાઃ શિબિકાઃ ચિત્રાણિ ક્રીડાગૃહાણિ દારુપર્વતકાનપિ કામસ્ય ગૃહકમ્ રમ્યં દિવાગૃહકમેવ ચ દદર્શ||

The great Vanara who is the son of Vayu, the wind god, saw in the palace of the king of Rakshasas different types of palanquins, sporting chambers, hillocks made of wood, charming houses for love making, chambers for the daytime activities also.

શ્લો|| સ મન્દરગ્રિપ્રખ્યં મયૂરસ્થાનસંકુલમ્||38||
ધ્વજયષ્ટિભિ રાકીર્ણં દદર્શ ભવનોત્તમમ્|
અનેકરત્નસંકીર્ણં નિધિજાલં સમંતતઃ||39||
ધીરનિષ્ટિતકર્માંતં ગૃહં ભૂતપતેરિવ|

સ|| સઃ મન્દરગિરિપ્રખ્યં મયૂરસ્થાન સંકુલમ્ ધ્વજયષ્ટિભિઃ આકીર્ણન્ ધીરનિષ્ઠિત કર્માન્તમ્ ભૂતપતેઃ ગૃહમિવ ભવનોત્તમમ્ સમન્તતઃ અનેકરત્ન સંકીર્ણમ્ નિધિજાલમ્ દદર્શ ||

Comparable to mount Mandara, it was full of Peacocks. It was full of flag posts. It was built by skilled craftsman with great care, resembling Kailasa the house of the Lord of all creatures. He saw a magnificent mansion which was full of gems and treasure troves.

શ્લો|| અર્ચિર્ભિશ્ચાપિ રત્નાનાં તેજસા રાવણસ્ય ચ||40||
વિરરાજાથ તદ્વેશ્મ રશ્મિમાનિવ રશ્મિભિઃ|

સ|| તત્ વેશ્મ રત્નાનામ્ અર્ચિર્ભિશ્ચાપિ રાવણસ્ય તેજસા ચ અથ રશ્મિભિઃ રશ્મિમાનિવ વિરરાજ ||

તા|| આ ભવનમુ અનેક રકમુલૈન વજ્રમુલુ રત્નમુલતો નિંડિયુન્નનૂ સૂર્યકિરણમુલ તેજસ્સુલાગાવુન્ન રાવણુનિ તેજસ્સુતો વિરાજિલ્લેનુ.

That palace though full of gems with wonderful hues, shone with the brilliance of Ravana like the Sun god with his rays of sunshine.

શ્લો|| જાંબૂનદમયાન્યેન શયનાન્ આસનાનિચ||41||
ભાજનાનિ ચ મુખ્યાનિ દદર્શ હરિયૂથપઃ|

સ|| હરિયૂથપઃ જામ્બૂનદમયાન્યેવ શયનાનિ આસનાનિ ચ મુખ્યાનિ ભાજનાનિ દદર્શ||

સ|| મધ્વાસકૃતક્લેદં મણિભાજનસંકુલં મનોરમમ્ અસમ્ભાધમ્ કુબેર ભવનં યથા નૂપુરાણાં કાઞ્ચીનામ્ નિનદેન ઘોષવદ્ભિઃ મૃદઙ્ગતલઘોષૈશ્ચ વિનાદિતમ્ પ્રાસાદસંઘાતયુતમ્ મહાગૃહં હનુમાન્ પ્રાવિવેશ||

Hanuman saw the spacious and very delightful palace, which is like that of Kubera, which is drenched with liquor and other drinks, with gem encrusted vessels scattered all over. Hanuman then entered the house which was resonating with sounds of golden anklets of women and the drums. which had rows of mansions with lofty palaces and well laid apartments full of exquisite women.

Thus, ends the fifth Sarga of Sundarakanda in Ramayana, the first ever poem of mankind composed by Maharshi Valmiki.
